Our Story

Astrophotography for everyone

Founded out of a passion for the night sky, Sadrastro began with a simple goal: to share the wonders of astrophotography with everyone, regardless of their budget. We understand that capturing the beauty of the cosmos can be challenging, especially without access to dark skies. That’s why we provide affordable data and resources to help you explore and enhance your astrophotography skills.

Our journey started when a group of avid stargazers realized the need for a community that values both quality and accessibility. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the magic of the universe through their own lens. With a focus on education, we offer tutorials, tips, and support to help you grow your image editing skills, ensuring that your passion for astrophotography can flourish.

Join us as we explore the universe together, one image at a time!

To inspire a global community of astrophotographers by providing accessible resources and data from pristine dark skies, fostering a love for the cosmos.

Our Mission

At Sadrastro, we are dedicated to making astrophotography accessible to everyone. We strive to provide high-quality data from dark skies and offer educational resources that empower aspiring photographers to enhance their skills in image editing and capture the beauty of the universe.

Why “Sadr”?

Crescent Nebula near Sadr Star

The name Sadr comes from the star at the heart of the Northern Cross in the constellation Cygnus. Also known as Gamma Cygni, Sadr is a brilliant supergiant that illuminates the surrounding nebulae. Just like the star Sadr brightens the sky, we aim to illuminate the path to discovering and enjoying the wonders of space.

Sadr is that bright star in the left corner of the image above.

Join us in exploring the cosmos, capturing breathtaking images, and sharing in the wonder of the universe.
